Kia ora. My name is Wendy O’Meara and I am a Kaitūhono/Connector with Mana Whaikaha. I have had the privilege of walking alongside disabled people and whānau in many different roles for over 30 years.
I’ve worked both in New Zealand and Australia, hence my accent, as you will hear on my video. However, I am back home in New Zealand now so I’m sure this accent will fade very quickly.
My particular areas of interest are in:
- community building
- individual and family leadership, and
- walking alongside people who are seeking peace of mind around what will happen for their family member when they are no longer there.
I am excited to be here in MidCentral and I’m looking forward to the journey ahead.
