Wellbeing and service contact outcomes
The Ministry of Health has published a number of reports to provide better data on what life is like for disabled people.
The analysis looked at wellbeing and service contact outcomes for disabled people receiving Ministry of Health funded disability support services (DSS) in MidCentral and across the whole of New Zealand.
The data helps us to understand the wider social context for disabled people and whanau, such as health, education, income and family relationship outcomes.
These reports do not tell us if Mana Whaikaha are making a difference. This is because:

the data is not specifically targeted at the outcomes that Mana Whaikaha can directly change

the data was collected before Mana Whaikaha started on 1 October 2018
The Ministry of Health asked EY to complete these reports from their analysis of administrative and survey data from Statistics New Zealand’s integrated data infrastructure (IDI).
